Robert the Doll is a doll resembling an American naval officer. The story goes that he was given to a young boy in Key West in 1906 by a servant to his family, who was supposedly unhappy with the family and skilled in black magic.
Right after the boy received the doll, strange things began happening. The boy (named Eugene Otto) would be heard talking to his doll.. and the doll would talk back.
Family members would hear the doll laughing and see it running around, and neighbors reported that they as well could see the doll moving around when the family was out. Guests would sometimes see the doll’s face changing expression. In the 70’s, a new family moved into the house that Robert still stayed in after Eugene’s death. The little girl who began living there claimed that the doll would attack her at night and even try to kill her.
Robert currently lives in a museum, and supposedly, visitors must ask his permission before taking his photo, unless they want a curse to follow them home.
